Arbela Training Services and Methodology
Arbela Technologies as your Dynamics AX Education/Training Resource
During the ERP implementation process, the transfer of knowledge dynamic is exercised in multiple directions, and through means that are both formal and informal. Regardless of the direction of knowledge transfer, or the level of formality, the process should always reflect the following realities and best practices:
- People learn in different ways
- Motivation to learn is not equal across all participants
- Experience, coupled with technical facts, conveys credibility in transferred knowledge
- Information cannot be conveyed if communication is a barrier Reinforcement of knowledge gained is critical, i.e. “use it, or lose it”
- The participant must understand first and foremost how the acceptance of new information will of personal benefit to them
- All knowledge transfer must be focused and filtered in context with the specific industry of the client, but not at the expense of general proven best practices.
- Resource materials should be easy to use, technically correct, and readily available for the life of the system solution deployment.
- The ‘why” should be understood before the “how” is explained
With these realities in mind, Arbela Technologies provides its clients with custom tailored systems education and training solutions, guided by Microsoft Sure Step tools and techniques, and delivered by only experienced consultants that not only understand the technical details of the Dynamics AX ERP solution, but can deliver knowledge so that its acceptance is optimized and in context with the clients operating environment.
Our Methodology
The Arbela Education/Training processes are aligned with and utilize Microsoft Sure Step tools and techniques.
Our Methodology
The Arbela Education/Training processes are aligned with and utilize Microsoft Sure Step tools and techniques.
The knowledge transfer begins in the direction from the client to Arbela as the Discovery phase provides tasks that require Arbela to truly understand:
- The unique aspects of the industry in which the client operates
- The current client organization
- The capabilities of the legacy system (the “As-Is”)
- Pre-defined “To-Be” requirements
- Staff capabilities
- Project goals and constraints
Arbela will then tailor Dynamics AX application “System Design” workshops that will allow the core team to understand the tools available in the ERP system that will help them achieve the intended process improvements. These workshops discuss not only Dynamics AX functional capabilities, but industry best practices that should be considered in systems design.
Since our goal is to make the client as self sufficient as possible as early as possible, Arbela will then conduct “Train-the-Trainer” sessions to prepare Client staff for the end user training phase.
Technical training will commence early in the Analysis phase so that the client can begin to take ownership of many of the system administration support and enhancement development requirements that will be required through the downstream implementation phases.
