The main goal is to define security per group and assign users to it for better management of the user’s access to data in Dynamics AX. However, creating user group security and copying it to other groups are difficult. There are third party tools that you can use for ease of copying, assigning security to user groups, etc. such as Arbela Security Manager for Dynamics AX.
